Daily work with data
Katarzyna spends an average of 6 hours a day reviewing transcripts and attendance lists. Since 2019, she has been catching discrepancies between politicians' declarations and their actual actions. Numbers don't lie – if an MP claims they were at 96.5% of votes, Katarzyna checks it in official registers within 3 hours. Only concrete data allows us to build reliable activity rankings.
Experience and facts
Before joining Sejmometr Media, she worked for 3.5 years in a Krakow organization dealing with transparency in public life. she doesn't look for sensations, only specifics. Last year, she prepared 43 detailed reports on fuel expenses in parliamentary offices. She detected errors in settlements totaling 12,400 PLN in just one district, which allowed our clients to understand how public funds are distributed.
Methodology without unnecessary words
In her work, she uses simple tables and spreadsheets. We checked it in the tables – manual data verification provides 14% more accuracy than automatic scripts, which often confuse similar-sounding names. Katarzyna looks at every figure twice. If the amount of 3,840 PLN appears in our report, it means she has confirmation for it in source documents from the Chancellery of the Sejm. No political babble, just hard evidence.
Why do we do this?
For her, politics is not about emotions, but cash flows and statistics. She shows who actually works in committees and who just signs the list and leaves after 5 minutes. In March 2024, she analyzed 156 amendments to one budget bill, pointing out which of them were introduced by external lobbyists. It took her 11 working days, but the result was clear.
Specific results of work
Katarzyna is not a theorist. Her last summary of attendance during night votes reached 83 subscribers of our premium reports. Thanks to her work, we know that the average speaking time of an MP with an economic education is just 2 minutes and 14 seconds. These are data you won't find on the evening news, and which really impact the quality of the law being established.
Beyond the spreadsheets
Honestly, working in archives can be tedious and dusty, especially when you have to go through paper protocols from 2015-2018. However, for Katarzyna, the final result matters – a clean, transparent infographic that everyone can understand in a minute. This is her way of keeping order in documentation that should be available to every citizen without exception.
