Marek Wiśniewski is not a politician and does not like empty promises. He founded Sejmometr Media in 2017 after working for 6 years in financial analysis at a Krakow audit office. He noticed that the public receives emotions, not facts. He decided to change that. Instead of listening to speeches, he started counting how many times an MP actually raised their hand and how many of those votes were consistent with the party line. Numbers don't lie.
At Sejmometr Media, Marek is responsible for data architecture. He ensures that our charts are backed by official documents from the Chancellery of the Sejm. In 2024 alone, his team analyzed 124 reports regarding expenditures for parliamentary offices. We don't look for sensations; we look for patterns. We checked it in the tables and we know that hard data is harder to undermine than any expert commentary.
Marek's work is mainly about precision. When in November 2023 one of the editorial offices asked about the real attendance of MPs from Lesser Poland, Marek prepared a summary in 4.56 hours. It showed that 3 people had attendance below 67%, even though they claimed otherwise on social media. No political babble – just pure statistics that allow our clients to draw their own conclusions.
Currently, Marek manages a team of 4 specialists in our office on Floriańska Street. He does not believe in automatic reports generated by algorithms without human supervision. Every chart that leaves Sejmometr Media passes through his hands. He believes that transparency is a process, not a one-time slogan. Therefore, we regularly update our databases at 9:00 AM after each day of proceedings, without exception.
Marek rarely attends conferences. He prefers to spend time on regression analysis or verifying 187 different budget items in political party reports. If you need specific numbers for your article or report, Marek probably already has that data in one of his summaries. Only concrete data allows one to understand what is really happening at Wiejska Street. We might not be the cheapest on the market, but our data stands up to any verification attempt.
